• Remediation Remedial works mean a set of actions designed to eliminate or reduce contamination of the rock environment and groundwater to an acceptable level of environmental risk. • Risk Assessment Risk analysis means the evaluation of environmental impacts and impacts related to public health in the case of contamination. Its aim is to assess the need for protective activities, because the assessment of specific risk is a condition for any similar activities. Risk analysis assesses the specific circumstances based on the information on the pollutants present and the possible pathways of their dissemination, exposure and target group to which the risk applies in each of these situations. Assessment of specific risk reveals connection of individual approaches and influences that create hazard for the target group.
