The new SRH-plus series incorporates continuous modularity: proven SRU-plus rotary actuators, media feed-throughs and electrical feed-throughs. The resulting advantages are short delivery times and low spare-part warehousing. Following the rotary actuator SRU-plus, the swivel head SRH-plus is available in six sizes with high-performance hydraulic damping for higher payload and shorter cycle times. The SRH-plus is also eq uipped to protection class IP 67 as standard.

The electric rotary feed-through of the SRH-plus is designed for digital signals of sensors or simple actuators. The EDF is more reliable since no cables have to be fed through the center bore of the rotary unit which may result in broken cables. The connections of the SRH-plus swivel head are easily accessible and are all equipped with connectors.

The media feed-through is completely internal from mounting of the unit to mounting of the tool through hose-free direction connections.

Quick-Change System with Center Bore SWS-B

For the first time ever, offers a robotic tool change system with center bore for robot applications, where a center bore through the changing unit is required. Integrated air feed-throughs, numerous electric options as well as alternative energy feed-throughs assure that all the signals, mediums, and the necessary energy can be transmitted reliably. As all the quick-change systems from, the SWS-B is equipped with a patented self-retaining locking system, which assures, that the robot and the effector stay together in case of power outage. For easy assembly, the SWS-B can be equipped with adapter plates with ISO mounting pattern. Company also offers a suitable storage rack to store unused tools. The robotic tool change system with center bore is available now in versions SWS-B-027 and SWS-B-033 for payloads up to 40 kg and moment loads of up to 200 Nm. Rotary Module STM 135 with Holding Brake,

The electric rotary module STM 135 from is just 63 mm high. Despite its low height, it achieves a high torque between 2.5 and 7.1 Nm. An optionally integrated pneumatic holding brake reliably assures the position fixing. The additional possibility for optional integration of an electrical rotary feed through and protection rating IP54 allow turns >360° in soiled environments. Presently, the STM 135 is the most compact electric rotary module with holding brake, electrical rotary feed through, and IP54 on the market. With its optimal size and a proportionally high performance, it allows the design of very compact systems. Since any user-defined intermediate position can be achieved, it is particularly suitable for applications where high flexibility is required. At the same time, the unit can be turned continually, which enlarges the spectrum of possible applications. The control system of the STM provides more flexibility and presents many options. Beside a 560 V DC version for standard control units from Bosch or Siemens, the rotary module can be also equipped with a 48 V DC Motion-Controller MCS12.

Solar Cell Gripper SZG-C

The dynamic solar cell gripper SZG-C handles wafers and finished cells sizing 156 x 156 or 125 x 125 mm extremely fast and process reliable. A transportation cycle of 550 mm including inspection with a camera sytem and the return stroke is carried out in a cycle time of less than 1 second. The SZG-C is based on the Coanda principle. A low-pressure at the gripping surface has the effect that wafers made of cristalline silicium with a thickness of 50 microns, are gripped gently, but with a high holding force. A PEEK synthetic material and a large support surface provide a stress-free and safe grip, where even occurring shearing forces can be absorpt reliably. The suction force of the Coanda gripper can be adjusted by the pressure. Integrated micro valves shorten the way of the compressed air to allow an extremely short response time and wafers can be blown out while they are deposited. With the combination of this function enormous cylce times are achieved. SZG-C from is suitable for every robot or gantry system used in solar cell manufacturing.

With the SPB from the Powerball series, continues to enlarge its portfolio of modular robotics. For the first time, the motion of two axes has been combined in a single module on most compact space. It can be used to assemble compact lightweight arms, service robots and other handling applications with a modular structure. While still for motion with two degrees of freedom always two single modules were needed, in future only one single compact and agile module can be used. For example, an individual lightweight arm can be configured with six degrees of freedom using only three SPB modules. With its angle of rotation between -170° and +170°, the agile module is capable of very flexible operating cycles. Using a quick-change system and plug connectors with integrated signal transmission, it can be put into operation quickly and simply without sophisticated cabling using the plug & play method. Its integrated control and feedback control electronics as well as the power supply with 24 V DC provide the ideal basis for decentralized and mobile applications.

Put an end to cable breakage and short-circuits. The EDF electrical feed-throughs for the SRU-plus universal swivel unit ensure long-term process reliability. It can be quickly connected via the housing plugs/sockets for the inputs/outputs. The EDF has a non-abrasive cable feed-through in the center bore. A coil-shaped rotating element compensates the torsion. The EDF is supplied with the SRUplus as a fully assembled unit. It permanently solves the problem of rotating cables, which increases both the process reliability and the system availability.

Universal Swivel Unit SRU-plus

The new SRU-plus universal swivel unit has an unbeatable price/performance ratio. Its new damping system now allows it to swivel even heavier loads. The units are available in eight different sizes, with soft (SRU-plus..-W-) or hard (SRU-plus..-H-) damping versions as desired. The soft damping version ensures shorter cycle times even with the same payloads; the hard damping version enables the handling of a higher payload even with the same body size. The new SRU-plus series has the full range of options: Media feed-through, adjustable end positions and a pneumatic or loc king middle position.

The new PRG 2-finger radial gripper offers outstanding compact performance. This is due to the patented 1-pin sliding block guide , ensuring a constant closing torque at closing angles from -5° to +7°. An oval piston provides even more power. In the same size, the new PRG can grip even larger workpieces, or workpieces in a wider tolerance range, in a process-reliable manner. Intelligent damping directly integrated into the drive chain allows very short cycle times and an even larger permissible finger length. The all-purpose PRG is available customized for the respective application with a gripping force safety device, as a high-temperature version and with three different opening angles. The end position can be determined using an inductive proximity switch or a magnetic switch as desired.

Magnetic Switch MMS 22-PI1

The MMS 22-PI1 magnetic switch from has a programmable switching point, which makes it an all-purpose sensor. Instead of using multiple sensors, one sensor will be enough. Spare parts re-stocking is reduced, and the user is more fl exible. Monitoring is carried out by a magnet inside of the actuator. Since the switching point can be individually adjusted, and the sensor can be completely inserted into the C-slot, no additional interfering contours occur at the actuator. Instead of adjusting the switching points mechanically, the MMS 22-PI1 can be programmed quickly. The required teach tool can be used as a wired or contact-free magnetic version. Compared to conventional magnetic sensors, the operator saves up to 90 % set-up time. In order to increase process reliability, the release sensor point of the MMS 22-PI1 can be programmed on demand, too. The adjustable hysteresis allows reliable position monitoring at very short strokes, and the gripper can diff erentiate workpieces of diff erent sizes. The complete gripping process can be better evaluated and controlled.

With the CFK-axis system CLD, for the first time presents standardized linear axis made of carbon fiber. It is the lightest directly driven linear axis on the market. Compared with aluminum profiles, the weight of the profile reduces by 58 %. The innovative linear module from offers many advantages. The carbon composite makes the axes extremely light, yet stable. Due to the higher elasticity, they dispose of a higher bending and torsional stiffness than aluminum profiles. The high dampening reduces vibrations and results in a higher dynamical stiffness. If the material heats up during operation, it stays dimensionnally stable. The CFK-axes from belong, to the CLD series. They owe its high dynamic and repeat accuracy to a servo-electric linear direct drive. They also assure their pole position, especially for high-speed applications in assembly automation. The PHL from can alternatively be equipped with a multi-tooth guidance or a profiled rail guidance, which increases the degree of effi-ciency of the module. With jaw guides and a powerful multi-tooth guidance, the PHL is particularly suitable for rough environments. The gripper is equipped with roller bearings and profiled rail guidance, achieving a 25 % higher degree of efficiency. The new gripper generation from surpasses the efficiency of conventional long-stroke gripper with slots or round guidance. For many applications, smaller and cost-efficient sizes can now be used, and due to the low consumption of compressed air, are working more efficiently. Longer fingers can also be used with almost the same gripping force. Every size is available as a special version with viton seals or for high temperatures of up to 130 °C (266 °F). Gripper positions can be monitored by inductive proximity switches or magnetic switches. Due to the modular concept, the PHL from is available in 90 standardized versions.
