The combination of an oval piston drive and roller bearings assures an enormous degree of effi ciency for this compact powerpack, and makes it the most effi cient miniature parallel gripper on the market. Due to the high force and moment loads, units of the same size can be equipped with longer gripper fi ngers and higher gripping forces are achieved. Compared with the previous MPG, the gripping force of sizes 40 increased from 110 N amounts to 140 N, which is an increase by 25 %. The maximum admissible fi nger length is now 60 mm, instead of 40 mm. In other words, instead of size 50, size 40 will be enough for future applications.

By increasing the number of the cross roller guidances, the force is distributed more evenly, making the average basic load rating increase by 30 %. For achieving a much higher precision, the roller guidances are individually adjusted. The MPG-plus was designed to be light-weight. The weight of all gripper sizes was reduced on average by about 10 %. In order to create the process- and plant design more fl exible for design engineers, the module can be, fastened laterally, or from the bottom.

Magnetic Switch MMS 22-PI1

The MMS 22-PI1 magnetic switch from has a programmable switching point, which makes it an all-purpose sensor. Instead of using multiple sensors, one sensor will be enough. Spare parts re-stocking is reduced, and the user is more fl exible. Monitoring is carried out by a magnet inside of the actuator. Since the switching point can be individually adjusted, and the sensor can be completely inserted into the C-slot, no additional interfering contours occur at the actuator. Instead of adjusting the switching points mechanically, the MMS 22-PI1 can be programmed quickly. The required teach tool can be used as a wired or contact-free magnetic version. Compared to conventional magnetic sensors, the operator saves up to 90 % set-up time. In order to increase process reliability, the release sensor point of the MMS 22-PI1 can be programmed on demand, too. The adjustable hysteresis allows reliable position monitoring at very short strokes, and the gripper can diff erentiate workpieces of diff erent sizes. The complete gripping process can be better evaluated and controlled.

Carbon Fiber Linear Axis CLD

With the CFK-axis system CLD, for the first time presents standardized linear axis made of carbon fiber. It is the lightest directly driven linear axis on the market. Compared with aluminum profiles, the weight of the profile reduces by 58 %. The innovative linear module from offers many advantages. The carbon composite makes the axes extremely light, yet stable. Due to the higher elasticity, they dispose of a higher bending and torsional stiffness than aluminum profiles. The high dampening reduces vibrations and results in a higher dynamical stiffness. If the material heats up during operation, it stays dimensionnally stable. The CFK-axes from belong, to the CLD series. They owe its high dynamic and repeat accuracy to a servo-electric linear direct drive. They also assure their pole position, especially for high-speed applications in assembly automation. Since the motor, measuring system and linear guidance are integrated into the axis profile or slide, they are extremely compact and have low space requirements.

2-Finger Long-stroke Gripper PHL

The PHL from can alternatively be equipped with a multi-tooth guidance or a profiled rail guidance, which increases the degree of effi-ciency of the module. With jaw guides and a powerful multi-tooth guidance, the PHL is particularly suitable for rough environments. The gripper is equipped with roller bearings and profiled rail guidance, achieving a 25 % higher degree of efficiency. The new gripper generation from surpasses the efficiency of conventional long-stroke gripper with slots or round guidance. For many applications, smaller and cost-efficient sizes can now be used, and due to the low consumption of compressed air, are working more efficiently. Longer fingers can also be used with almost the same gripping force. Every size is available as a special version with viton seals or for high temperatures of up to 130 °C (266 °F). Gripper positions can be monitored by inductive proximity switches or magnetic switches. Due to the modular concept, the PHL from is available in 90 standardized versions.

Pick & Place Unit PPU-P

Pick & Place Unit PPU-P

With up to 95 cycles per minute, the PPU-P is the fastest pneumatic Pick & Place Unit on the market. In contrast to conventional pneumatic Pick & Place Units, the horizontal and vertical motion of the robust PPU-P unit overlap, and are positively driven via a curved roller, which reduces cycle times by one-third. At e.g. a 145 mm horizontal stroke, 45 mm (20 mm linear) vertical stroke and 1 kg moving mass, the smaller unit achieves a cycle time of 0.63 s including 2 x 50 ms gripping time. Thanks to the control unit, the gripper can be placed directly over the individual target position, and is actuated through our standard control interface. This feature can positively influence two of a production line‘s key performance factors: cycle time and process reliability. In order to balance build-up tolerances, the horizontal stroke can be adjusted by up to 12 mm (18 mm) per side. Moreover, both end positions can be adjusted by 15 mm (20 mm), independent from each other. Differences in height between the pick and place position can be balanced wit hout an intermediate stop.

Pick & Place Unit PPU-E

The PPU-E carries out high speed assembly tasks with the highest precision. Cycle time is only 0.58 seconds including switching and gripping times at a 40 mm vertical stroke, a 120 mm horizontal stroke, and a moving mass of 2 kg. All the utility lines for power supply, sensor, and pneumatic systems are plugged into the rearward stationary connection. The fastest Pick & Place Unit on the market does not require any sensitive moving motor cables. The narrow housing as well as the media supply via the back panel, allow a compact, maintenance- and assembly-friendly sandwich construction of several units next to each other. Two integrated linear encoder systems control the vertical and horizontal motion and assure a high repeat accuracy. Intelligent regulators control the cantilever arm as well as the actuators without a higher-ranking control unit. The required software is already integrated, thus the unit can be set up by simple Plug & Play.
