LETVIS® SIM – is designed to simulate a wide range of civil and military air traffic management (ATM ) environment. The system fully substitutes real ATM data processing and the simulated air traffic situation is displayed at the controller (trainee) WPs (entire radar and flight information). It can be used for training of civil/ military radar and procedural controllers for en-route or approach control of flights.

A variety of simulation scenarios can be created to prepare the training sessions and exercises, incl. simulation of emergency or heavy traffic situations to check a competency of controllers and their ability to cope with work overload. BADA 3.3 database of aircraft (EUROCONTROL) is
used for a simulation of flights generated by the system..

ATC Simulator serves for:
- on-the-job training of ATS personnel
- ab-initio courses (basic skills training and familiarization with the ATC system)
- advanced (re-validation) training

It is also designed to support many of development tasks such as:
- testing of data processing functionality after SW modification or dataset parameters adjustment – before RDP and FDP systems putting into operation
- CWP MMI testing during user environment development or modification, testing of new ATC procedures testing of the system capacity and reliability, and HW components functionality and reliability

TESTING & MONITORING SYSTEM

LETVIS® MON system is intended for creation of time-synchronised voice/data/video records, archiving of recorded files and their retrieval for time-synchronised replay or data reduction without interrupting the recording process. LETVIS® MON is to be used for critical applications where the data and signals recorded are replayed with precision time synchronization. LETVIS® SDAA enables a substantial improvement of multi-sensor data processing accuracy. Surveillance Data Accuracy Analysis (SDAA) system was developed in compliance with EUROCONTROL standards. The system is designed for accuracy testing of surveillance radar systems, multi-radar data sources or passive surveillance systems before putting them into operation or for monitoring of systems performance when in operation. It can be used for PAR testing, as well.

CONSOLE PROGRAM

The ALES deals with industrial design and manufacture of specialised furniture required to house the working positions/consoles for particular needs of various users. This product family meets the appropriate working environment-related standards. The furniture can be delivered either as a part of systems supplied by the ALES or as specific-purpose furniture for accommodation of equipment provided by other manufacturers. Depending on the user roles and intended missions, the specialised furniture provided within the ALES production programme falls into the following categories: Operator WPs/consoles: - for round-the-clock operations which have to meet most stringent requirements in terms of ergonomics and the operating staff comfort Equipment cabinets/racks: - for a well-organised and safe accommodation of the technical equipment in equipment rooms and at industrial plants Specific-purpose furniture: - for accommodation of the operator WPs/consoles in containers or mobile means of transport (vehicles, armoured personnel carriers, etc.) Furniture for operator consoles and equipment cabinets is designed and manufactured in compliance with appropriate technical standards provide for a high mechanical and chemical resistance, and incombustibility of the structure.

C?I SYSTEM

Air Defense (AD) system of ALES production (LETVIS® AD) provides an integrated C3I system for execution of air defense missions at any centralized and/or decentralized command level. The system represents a tool suitable for integration into fixed/mobile command and control (C2) centers for air operations execution to provide timely and effective protection of vital assets and areas. It is interoperable with both NATO and non-NATO systems. The recognized air picture, derived from information provided by a radar network over the area of responsibility and processed by multi-radar tracker (MRT), is generated by the LETVIS® AD system. As integral part of the system are air defence functionalities such as target identification and classification, target assignment, computer-aided support to decision-making process for any level of command, etc. Thus, the system is intended for execution of air missions, simulation of combat activities, and personnel training, as well. LETVIS® ADsystem is capable of centralized command of ground-based AD forces (GBAD) and control of weapon systems when integrated in mobile C2 centers of ALES production (ASTRA, TATRAPAN) or interfaced with other centers via standard communication protocols. ASTRA ADis a transportable AD system designed for SHORAD SAM, AAA and MANPADS forces. GBAD forces and weapon systems are controlled from ASTRA mobile command post (MCP) located on a truck undercarriage. ASTRA provides the commander with accurate and timely information required for effective control / employment of short range SAM (optionally medium range SAM through modification of SW and communication equipment), MANPADS, and AAA weapon systems. TATRAPAN ADis a mobile AD system designed for command and control of SAM units in real time. The system is mounted into armoured container located on chassis of wheeled vehicle. TATRAPAN was designed as replacement of the original K1 system for SAM control of SA-6 series. The SAM upgrade of SA-13 series (GOPHER or S-10M designation) was accomplished by ALES to enable their integration into C2 system network. The system upgrade consists in modification of control and communication modules and advanced equipment implementation for improvement of combat effectiveness related to centralized command and SHORAD system interoperability.

Radar Program

Radar program focuses on refurbishment and upgrade of older analogue PSR/PAR radars to enable their service life extension, substantial performance improvement and effective co-operation with interfaced advanced systems. Through implementation of advanced electronics and data processing equipment, optionally IFF/SSR equipment they can serve as sources of reliable primary/secondary data. LETVIS EXT/S is a high performance radar processor which transforms primary radar video outputs from any air surveillance radar into high quality digital target reports or track messages suitable for integration into modern control centers. The LETVIS EXT/S is modular in design and can be configured in any combination of primary radar or weather extractor. The system is interfaced to a control and maintenance console to provide real-time PPI and weather information while providing complete system monitoring, maintenance and recording functions. Components: - Radar Data Extractor (RDX) - for extraction of digital target information by primary radar video processing - Digital Scan Converter (DSC) - for conversion of raw video information to digital form by primary radar video processing and weather channel processing - Remote Control and Maintenance software
